Tahoe Donner is located in the upper region of Truckee, California, within 5 miles of Donner Lake and less than 20 miles from Lake Tahoe.

This mountain resort community includes two ski areas, restaurants, a golf course, equestrian center & campground that are available to the public.  The association also manages other amenities, including Trout Creek Rec center and the beach at Donner Lake for the exclusive use of more than 6300 property owners.

This community spans approximately 6000 acres, with 1300 acres used for homes. Forest type ranges from eastside pine to true fir with a large area covered in brush. So, there is a substantial green belt and open space for community enjoyment.Walking trails are located throughout Tahoe Donner.

Tahoe Donner offers 5948 residential lots, as of 1/1/08, 5090 lots developed. Twenty percent of the homes are primary residents while 80 percent are second homes. Of the second home owners, 55 percent are people who come from the San Francisco Bay Area. Another 13 percent come from the Sacramento area.
